@ Saari - Sorry for the ending :(. I really like your idea for the name of the laser beam though. That is definitely something 'John' would name it.

This is amazing it reaches down and rips on your heart, showing the dirty real life some children are trapped in through there eyes, I think this should be put into help pamphlets might give people a different view of how they are effecting others

Best short story/webcomic ever. I read it 5 times already and can't get enough. Still break my heart every time.

Wow, that was amazing! Anything that can conjure up such strong emotions and have such a powerful message in such a short amount of time deserves recognition.

I loved how the artwork from the child's point of view during the beginning was so innocent and whimsical even down to the details of how he landed and that juxtaposed to the harsh lines and dark colors of the last panel made it that much more effective.
Excellent job by both the author and the artist

WHY DID YOU DO THIS TO ME, JAMES? WHY?

Honestly, this is really good. Like, wow. To make the transition between those two very different tones and achieve that gut-wrenching effect so effortlessly takes some serious storytelling skills. To capture that much emotion in a single page is incredible. Just, so good.

I was actually thinking that doctor injection must have been a metaphor for something...but I still didn't quite expect the twist. Very difficult to make an emotional impact in four pages but you guys certainly did that. Great job! Nice art and colors too!
